Griffin's First Christmas

Your first Christmas was so much fun. We spent Christmas Eve day at Montage in Laguna Beach with Pop Pop, Gisella and Delia. We had a nice lunch by the pool because it was warm out. Afterwards we exchanged presents by the fire and you slept the whole way home. That night we had dinner at Mastro's with the Sultan family. You were fascinated by the wine glasses and loved standing on the table in your Christmas PJ's.

Christmas day we went to Papa and Gooma's house in Brentwood. You had more gifts than anyone. Mama and Dada got you a Yo Gabba Gabba boombox. Auntie Alison got you a puzzle with your name. And Gooma and Papa got you a bongo, a light up ball and lots of clothes.

So far this December has been a big month in your life. You are now sleeping in your crib in your own room and Gooma taught you to fall asleep without being rocked or with any help. You have become a great napper and wake up so happy when you're well rested. We are still working on nights and how to help you sleep once you drop your paci. First we are going to try to unswaddle you and see how that goes.

Thanks for making this Christmas so much fun. We love our happy baby boy :)

Griffin's 3 Month Stats

At your 3 month old check up, Dr. Dimundo said you were the most well proportioned baby she had seen all day. You are eating the perfect amount and your head shape looks good. She said not to worry about sleeping or sleep associations and that you are doing great for a 3 month old. She said we will have to stop swaddling pretty soon but hopefully you will be able to adjust to that without too much of a problem.

You got your pneumonia shot and you screamed for about a minute. Mommy was very proud of you for being tough and you settled down very quickly. Afterwards we got a coffee at Le Pain Quotidien and you were smiling and ready for a nap.

Griffin Is 3 Months

In honor of Griffin's 3 month birthday tomorrow, it's time to start this blog. We wanted to create something to remember all of his latest milestones and adventures.

With Mommy and Daddy's busy schedules, time is flying and "G" is growing quickly. We hope to chronicle his highlights and best moments so that he has something to look back on.

2-3 Month Milestones

You are able to hold a rattle in your hand.

You are obsessed with your hands and stare at them for long periods of time.

At night you are sleeping two five hour stretches (we still need work from 3am on :)).

You went to Douglas Park for the first time and liked the swing.

You went to the Brentwood and got to sit at the bar. Everyone loved you and said how cute you are.

You are recognizing Mommy and Daddy and always give big smiles when they come into the room.

You laughed for the first time when Mommy put you on her knees like an airplane.

You are falling asleep very easily when we sing our nighttime lullabies.

You had your first Thanksgiving with the Bennetts and Grandma and Grandpa South. You must have liked all the Pumpkin
Mommy ate because you had one of your rare poops (Hope that's not TMI).

You love to look at yourself in the mirror.

You saw Clementine for the first time in the car. You stared at her and were fascinated.

You love to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and scream when you get excited.
